Tips For An Efficient Showroom Appointment

 

So you’re interested in visitng our showroom … YAY! We want you to have the best appointment ever, because you deserve to enjoy the planning process as much as the big day itself. We’ve compiled our top six tips for what to do before your appointment, and during your appointment. With these six tips, you’ll not only have a more productive showroom appointment – you’ll also cross off another to-do list item that much faster!

 


 

 

Before

  • Be sure to submit a wishlist request prior to scheduling your showroom appointment – this way, we can have those items ready for viewing!
  • Have your date and venue set. This will determine what services / products you’ll actually be needing.
  • Establish your goals for the appointment – whether it’s to take pictures, or see how two items look paired together. Your time is precious!
  • Decide on who you’re bringing to the appointment. We recommend bringing the decision-maker, and your planner / coordinator if you’re working with one.
  • Have a general idea of your guest count – this helps us to determine availability and offer even more valuable suggestions!
  • Have a Pinterest board? We know you do… Bring it with you, we’d love to see it!
  • Make sure to have a list of measurements handy (Venue measurements, etc.), especially if you’re wanting a consultation about our Tents. While you won’t get to see a our tents during the appointment, we’re happy to review our past set-ups!

 

 

 

 

 

During

  • Ask questions – we’re happy to help! Here are few questions to get you started:
    • What do your services entail?
    • When is the first deposit due?
    • Can adjustments be made to my rental count after booking?
    • What items am I possibly overlooking?
    • How are delivery and pick up times coordinated?
    • When are the final details due? I.e. final counts, confirmation of delivery time / address, etc.

How to Conquer a Bridal Show in 7 Easy Steps

Bridal Shows are an amazing way to get the wedding planning wheels ‘a-rollin’. You’ll have the chance to meet people from every facet of the industry- all under one roof!

Before you put on that cute “fiance” tee and head out the door… take a look at these 7 tips. By the end, you’re sure to be a bridal show expert!


1. Set Your Date

Trust us when we say, every. single. vendor. will ask you this! 

Why… you ask? Because this basically sets the stage for everything else. The date implies colors and tones, weather and so much more.  It’ll be much easier on you – we pinky promise!

2. Know Your Venue

This helps to narrow down what services you’ll {actually} be needing!

Each venue will be different in what they offer you. Some venues have in-house catering, bars, DJ services, seating, decor, etc. Why meet a thousand caterers if you end up booking a venue with in-house catering after all? See where we’re coming from!?

3. Prepare Prepare Prepare

This relates directly back to number 2! Knowledge is key.

Do your due diligence and research a little beforehand. We suggest stalking some vendors on social media and giving their website a little scroll-through.

4. Join Email Lists

These lists are filled with so much good stuff.

Education, yes. Inspiration, duh. Promotions!? ~Insert money eyes emoji here~ But really, we promise these aren’t as pesky as you think. You could just save some money or be the first to know about that *exclusive* product.

5. Get to the Good Stuff

This is a great time to ask questions and get to the nitty-gritty of what services are offered!

Jot down a couple questions in a notebook prior to the show. Bring a handy-dandy pen and don’t forget to write down their answers!

6. Make “Contact Info” Labels

A little extra, but 100% worth it.

This will allow you to give out your digits in the blink of an eye! Don’t forget to specify your preferred contact method (text, call, email, etc.)  if you have one!

7. Bring Your Inspo Along with You!

We know you’ve been pinning away- let us see those pictures!

It’s always easier to start with an image or mood board. Something is always better than nothing. Whether it’s a magazine rip-out or just a theme you’re going for, we want to hear it!
