How to Conquer a Bridal Show in 7 Easy Steps
From { Bridal Show } Newbie to Fian-slaying
Bridal Shows are an amazing way to get the wedding planning wheels ‘a-rollin’. You’ll have the chance to meet people from every facet of the industry- all under one roof!
Before you put on that cute “fiance” tee and head out the door… take a look at these 7 tips. By the end, you’re sure to be a bridal show expert!
1. Set Your Date
Trust us when we say, every. single. vendor. will ask you this!
Why… you ask? Because this basically sets the stage for everything else. The date implies colors and tones, weather and so much more. It’ll be much easier on you – we pinky promise!
2. Know Your Venue
This helps to narrow down what services you’ll {actually} be needing!
Each venue will be different in what they offer you. Some venues have in-house catering, bars, DJ services, seating, decor, etc. Why meet a thousand caterers if you end up booking a venue with in-house catering after all? See where we’re coming from!?
3. Prepare Prepare Prepare
This relates directly back to number 2! Knowledge is key.
Do your due diligence and research a little beforehand. We suggest stalking some vendors on social media and giving their website a little scroll-through.
4. Join Email Lists
These lists are filled with so much good stuff.
Education, yes. Inspiration, duh. Promotions!? ~Insert money eyes emoji here~ But really, we promise these aren’t as pesky as you think. You could just save some money or be the first to know about that *exclusive* product.
5. Get to the Good Stuff
This is a great time to ask questions and get to the nitty-gritty of what services are offered!
Jot down a couple questions in a notebook prior to the show. Bring a handy-dandy pen and don’t forget to write down their answers!
6. Make “Contact Info” Labels
A little extra, but 100% worth it.
This will allow you to give out your digits in the blink of an eye! Don’t forget to specify your preferred contact method (text, call, email, etc.) if you have one!
7. Bring Your Inspo Along with You!
We know you’ve been pinning away- let us see those pictures!
It’s always easier to start with an image or mood board. Something is always better than nothing. Whether it’s a magazine rip-out or just a theme you’re going for, we want to hear it!

Look Your Best
Everyone knows how essential it is to look great on your wedding day. However, many do not consider the steps they can take prior to their wedding day to make sure that they do! For the bride, there are several things to consider even months before the big day. Scheduling a dermatologist appointment as far as six months in advance can help ensure that your skin is looking radiant on your wedding day. This article gives a breakdown of what brides should consider doing leading up to their wedding day. The groom will also want to look his best! Companies like hims offer products like finasteride for thinning hair, so you can walk down the aisle feeling great!
Eat Right
Having a balanced diet is also important. Many people will try to cut out an entire food group in an attempt to lose weight. That may not be the best option, check out this article for 10 wedding diet tips. Not only will a healthy diet help you lose weight for your wedding day, but it will also decrease your risk of chronic diseases.
Mental Health
It is imperative to not only consider the physical aspects of healthiness but the mental aspects as well. The planning of a wedding is often stressful, so it’s important to de-stress. This could be as simple as setting aside an hour a day to go for a walk or read. Find what calms you the most, and set aside some daily time for that activity.
Hopefully, this advice will assist you in creating healthy habits that make your big day perfect! Not only are these tips beneficial leading up to your wedding, but they can help you maintain a healthy life long after.
6 Ways to Incorporate Your Florida Heritage Into Your Big Day
Yes, oranges are somewhat involved.
Whether you’re a Florida native or you made Florida your home later in life, there are a lot of fun ways you can incorporate the sunshine state into your big day!
1. Native Plants
Whether it’s a flower you had in your backyard as a kid or your favorite garden shrubs in your current yard, adding some native Florida plants will surely tie in your roots.
2. Sports & Colleges
Maybe you met your S.O. at a sporting event or while sitting in a lecture hall at school, or maybe you watch every single game together- either way, you can totally incorporate that history and love into your big day! We know you own a ton of their apparel… Wear it as your getting ready attire for some unique and sentimental wedding photos you’ll always adore.
3. Paper Goods
Table numbers, seating charts, invitations, oh my!
4. Theme Park Inspo
We live in the land of roller-coaster rides and magical castles. If you obsess over a fairy tale princess or epic superhero, try incorporating that theme into your wedding. You can make it obvious or subtle.
5. Beach Vibes
Florida is a tropical paradise! Instead of floral centerpieces or accents, try using tropical branches or palm leaves. It’ll be like a day at the beach!
6. Oranges, duh.
We couldn’t leave those Florida oranges out. They can be really charming and fun decor items!
