Lakehouse Open House!

A lakeside venue full of cool vibes!

February has definitely been a busy month for us and we started it off right with the Lakehouse Open House! We got to chat with fellow vendors and provide rentals for not only a styled-shoot, but for a ceremony & reception set-up as well. We’ve had the pleasure of visiting this venue in the past for Frankie’s Dirty Thirty so we were excited to come back for this special event. From business meetings to weddings & social events, Lakehouse has it all! Check out some of the photos from the open house, below!

Stephanie & Andrew • Bramble Tree Estate

An outdoor celebration of Winter romance!

Stephanie & Andrew’s wedding left us stunned, amazed, and teary-eyed! It was everything a winter wedding should be- warm, cozy, and full of love. They chose hues of red, & green to create their dream wedding at the gorgeous Bramble Tree Estate in Sorrento, FL. This venue comes proudly equipped with a wide-open outdoor space, perfect for a tent! Stephanie & Andrew were drawn to our Sailcloth tent to host their reception, and equipped it with our market lighting while Florida served up a beautiful sunset! The photos from their wedding speak for themselves as they’re the work of Rudy & Marta Photography! They perfectly captured everything, down to the smallest detail. The mastermind behind the beautiful styling & event design was our good friend, Blue Ribbon Wedding & Event Design

Here are a few photos from their big day!

Trendy Vendy- Weddings by Carly Ane’s Floral Studio

Our Trendy Vendy for this week is none other than our good friends over at Carly Ane’s Floral Studio! They’re a family owned business committed to serving every customer with the highest quality florals & gifts with the best price possible. Their staff is incredibly talented with creativity off the charts as evidenced in the many weddings, & style-shoots they’ve worked on! When you work with Carly Ane’s you know you’re going to get quality customer service, and quality products.

Whether you need flowers delivered around the world or just around the corner, we’re here to help. Our experienced professional floral consultants are always happy to help you select the perfect floral expression. Simply let us know your list of special occasions you wish to be reminded of and we won’t let you forget them.

How did you get your start?

“Dave’s father started the business in 1982- naming the shop for his daughter, Carly Ane. Helping at the studio ever since he was in high school was only natural for Dave to learn and grow with the company. This year he’s taken on Weddings by Carly Ane’s as his own adding Jaimz as Design Consultant and Marketing.

She started in the event industry planning and organizing cast parties and celebrations while working in the area’s theme parks. After some time working in the coordinating and cakes part of weddings she landed in floral and design- and loves every minute of it!”

What services do you offer?

“We offer full wedding floral design and some décor rental such as arches, shepherd hooks, vases, candles. Etc. Within out 5,000 sq.. ft warehouse our clients are sure to find what will best meet their design needs.”

What inspires your floral designs?

“The clients! A couple’s personality and sense of style should come through in their floral and décor. We want them to express themselves the best way possible for their big day. We like to listen to what our brides and grooms want the overall look and feel of their wedding day to be, not what someone tells them they must have.”

How do you keep up with the latest wedding trends?

“Keep an eye on the internet! Fashion and seasonal colors play a lot into floral palettes. Also, pay attention to the past- popular trends have a way of coming back around full circle.”

What sets you apart from others?

“We care- a lot- about our clients and the success of their events. Anyone can sell you flowers and make arrangements but it’s the connection and interaction with a vendor who has your best interest at heart that makes the difference. We don’t have one-time customers. We have families who planned their weddings with us in the 80’s and now the children of those couples are coming in to plan their own celebrations. Birthdays, new babies, anniversaries, weddings- they stay with us through all of life’s occasions… and we’re here for their calls!”

What advice would you give Brides during the design/planning process?

“Take your time and get a full vision together of what you want. Do you research and don’t fall in love with something if it’s not realistic within your budget. Trust your professionals and ask their advice on what options you have to make the most out of your day. And when it comes down to it- have fun!! Stressing about every little detail is the surest way for you to look back and wish you had just let go.”

Fun Facts about you:

  1. Both Dave and Jaimz are big fans of the Dallas Cowboys!
  1. Dave enjoys Formula One racing, golf, and Jelly Bellys.
  1. Jaimz has blue hair (currently), loads of tattoos, performs improv and burlesque in the area, and- yes- is a girl!
  1. Our warehouse space is large enough to hold parties and events- and we did just that recently with our first open house!

Krystina & Joseph • Bella Collina

Jewel tones, Vintage touches, & Beautiful scenery- Oh my!

Let’s hear it for the happy couple! Krystina and Joseph tied the knot at Bella Collina on a perfect December day with a wedding fit to match. Runway Events & Flowers by Lesley styled Bella Collina with jewel-toned décor and vintage pieces from the Runway Collection. Concept Photography hit it out of the park with the STUNNING photos from the big day. We had the honor of providing the rentals for not only their ceremony, but their reception as well! As the sun went down, things heated up as our market lighting shed light on everyone’s silly, but awesome, dance moves. The couple managed to steal some time for themselves to share a private dance. The couple’s send-off was magical as every guest lit a sparkler in cheer. We are so grateful to have been a part of Krystina and Joseph’s happily ever after!

Trendy Vendy- Andi Mans

We sat down with our good friend and Cindy Crawford look-alike, Andi Mans for our Trendy Vendy this week! Her creativity astounds us and her passion for her community is awe-inspiring. Andi has her own business here in Orlando that is constantly pushing the limits. Being the Owner and the Creative Director to her own company keeps her quite busy, especially when that business offers event design, photography, florals, & local workshops. Is there anything she can’t do?! We certainly don’t think so!

When you work with Andi Mans- the company, you get Andi Mans- herself as she is very hands-on with all of her clients & projects. Her team is equally amazing and together with Andi they work incredibly hard to deliver the best services. We’ve had the pleasure of working with Andi on several styled shoots and weddings, as well as, other special events. We have nothing but kind words to say about Andi, her team, & her business.

Here are her answers to some of our most burning questions!

How did you get your start?

I actually was in the music/media industry before entering the wedding industry! I have a love for journalism, community and everything creative. I first got my “foot in the door” through my love for photography, after spending about 6 years shooting, I missed my hands being on artsy side and transformed my business into a one-stop creative business offering brides and all clients of all kinds, creative event services!

What services do you offer?

Event Design & Coordination, Styling, Floral, Photography and local creative Workshops!

How would you describe your décor/ design style?

I’m a huge lover of nature and the outdoors, there’s something to be said about having a beautiful backdrop outside with simple yet elegant accents that compliment your surroundings without going overboard! My heart is a mix of bohemian, organic and minimalist modern. But we can cater to any style, each event makes it so much fun, because each are so unique!

How do you keep up with the latest wedding trends?

Wedding trends come and go, but some return! I try to stay current but not let it dictate my branding nor a bride/client. Small elements are great to incorporate but I don’t think anything should have a “theme” per say,. A good balance is key!

What sets you apart from others?

I’d like to think that we all are unique and special, and I just extremely love what I do. I’m passionate in all of my services equally. My clients become my friends. I want them have a completely happy and stress free process. I believe my unique background provides a special experience.

What advice would you give Brides during the design/planning process?

Pick two things about your wedding that are most important to you. Keep bridal parties on the lower side if you can and remember that, although having an aesthetically pleasing wedding can be impressive and beautiful, what your wedding is about… is your love for one another. Don’t add extra formalities if you aren’t “crazy” about them and think outside the box. Do your own thing, there are no rules! Believe it or not, guests love new traditions. Hire a professional to help you sort all of your ideas out!! 🙂 haha!

Who is your style icon?

Martha Stewart. I appreciate her “jack of all trades” attitude. She has made a brand that has surpassed one thing, and everything she touches is beautiful and consistent in detail and lifestyle. She’s a business woman and has found success through multiple ventures, and I love that about her. I believe a true creative never stops at just one thing.

When you’re not helping clients, what can we find you doing?

Sipping coffee, day dreaming of new projects and spending time with friends and family. I truly love my community, my church, and I’m currently writing a faith based book for women. I love to work out and trying new recipes in the kitchen!

Fun Facts about you:

I had a full length recorded album with Sony Records when I was 19! Yup, I sang!

I was a guest on the Steve Harvey show in Chicago!

I love love love Fashion, and have a growing obsession with shoes! AH!

I’m a Sci-Fi nerd!

I love going to watch musicals/orchestra shows! Super hopeless romantic obviously!

We had the pleasure of providing the rentals for Stephanie and Ben’s wedding at the Lake Mary Events Center! Stephanie is an industry favorite of ours and is the owner/ co-founder of the planning company Saving the Day Events. Together, the vendor line-up hit it out of park and created the wedding of Stephanie + Ben’s dreams!

Pictures are worth a thousand words as they say, and the photos courtesy of Harmony Lynn Photography are telling us that this wedding was AMAZING and so much more! Stephanie & Ben are the cutest, their love is sweet & genuine and it shines through even the smallest details. After always working hard for her clients on their special days, Stephanie got to sit back and enjoy her special day with Ben and let her friends save the day.
