Minimal;
characterized by simplicity and lack of adornment or decoration.
We’ve been wanting to showcase a minimalist look for awhile now and The Balcony Orlando served as the perfect backdrop. Back in March, we gathered together a team of amazing vendors to bring this dreamy, modern and minimal wedding look to life!
HERE’S HOW WE DID IT
01.
As you can guess, we kept things simple and focused the design around one key piece of decor: acrylics. We used our 8ft Acrylic Table, as well as our Ghost Chairs for an ethereal vibe, and then swapped the chairs for our Bamboo Folding Chairs to create a more playful design. Acrylics are practically synonymous with “Minimalism” because they don’t need a lot to look stunning & add interest to a space.
02.
We limited the color palette to modern, muted tones of green and gray. These tones are very industrial and paired perfectly with the lighting pouring in from the floor to ceiling windows overlooking Downtown Orlando. The candlesticks served as our muse for the colors we chose; who knew you could fall head over heels for candles! 🤣

03.
It can be easy to overload the place settings with stuff. But the point of Minimalism is to be purposeful with your decor choices. Just think of Marie Kondo. For our settings, we stuck to neutral colors and echoed the crisp lines of the table in our wine glasses, acrylic menus, and modern flatware (Onyx). We mimicked the “disappearing act” of the acrylics by selecting our Gold-Rimmed Charger Plates for one look, and switching them out for our neutral-colored Rattan Chargers that paired beautifully with our bamboo chairs.
To complete the look, we tied in the industrial aesthetic of the venue by using gray dinner & salad plates. Our Carson Dinner Plates added texture and our Matte Gray Salad Plates added an organic touch with their unique edges.
04.
Rounding out the design was a beautiful centerpiece designed by Gather & Grace Designs. Keeping things simple, Rochelle provided us with one centerpiece full of neutral blooms that we showcased on top of a sheer gray table runner. These elements were essential for completing the look!
